Tried to color yesterday's drawing in, definitely influenced by John Byrne's style of Kirby crackle, and loving how it made the negative space come into focus with a less 'classic' lightning bolt shape, and more amorphous. I opened up the energy sig as well, but it doesn't seem as elegant as the original. Of course, I'm just playing around and not really trying to make it as polished as possible. Still, a fun exercise.

nice hands. I love kirby crackle dots too. Interestingly enough I came here after seeing your comment on Kyo Hashimoto's jewellery, which also use a kind of kirby dots, although in a much more formal and decorative way.
I know of those Kyo Dots of which you speak. They're perfect in her jewelry!
