Nostalgic Birthday Greetings

It's my old high school friend Senen's birthday today, so I thought transforming my retro Storm drawing into a greeting image for Facebook seemed appropriate (we were both intense X-men fans). I consider the coloring more like painting since I wasn't just filling in the spaces with hues, so it counts as a piece for this blog, despite the fact that I didn't really alter the inks at all.

I enjoy checking out your blog. You sketch very well. Are you using a sketch program (like Sketchbook Pro) to color your sketches? If so, what program do you use?

Thanks Gerald - I just use Painter and Photoshop, the latter for more of the coloring work in a piece like this.

Thanks for the quick reply. So do you use Painter to sketch directly "into" the computer? (Instead of sketching on paper and scanning it into to the computer.) If so, what kind of tablet hardware (brand, model) do you use for "computer sketching?"

Wacom Intuos up until a few months ago, then the Intuos 3, and the Painter Essentials program that came free with it for the initial sketches, yes.
