Robby, Ruminating

I don't normally do situation sketches - usually you see my figures just posing. So this is fun for me - it harks back to my comic book days when I wanted to know how to draw people just being people, looking/expressing/acting like everyday people, and believably. And while I painted this from a photo, I did take some liberties so that it wasn't so much a portrait as it was more like one of those sketches you see at trials (why can't they photograph those court sessions anyhow?).

I've always wondered the same thing. I guess sketch artists need jobs, too.
